I like Toledo Jerusalem to

Twilight. Quite possibly THE most raved/ranted about book series of the twenty-first century.

A few years ago, my friends got sucked into the grammatically-incorrect world of Twilight, and begged me to read it. So I figured, “Okay. If everyone likes it so much, it must be good.”

BIG MISTAKE.

I, obviously, started out reading the first book. As I read it, I was introduced to a whole cast of unlikeable and undeveloped characters, numerous (and extremely noticeable) grammatical errors, plot holes, and way, WAY too many sensory details. It eventually got to the point where I started counting how many times Stephanie Meyer mentioned Edward’s “perfect marble chest” or “incandescent skin”. I mean, come on. INCANDESCENT?! I mean, sure, the man sparkles, but really. I think mentioning it once would have been enough.

Another thing that bothered me about the series as a whole was that Edward and Bella’s relationship was compared to that of Romeo and Juliet, being a “forbidden love”. However, not once did I notice ANYONE opposing Edward and Bella’s relationship. Nobody but themselves. It really annoyed me how, chapter after chapter, Edward would tell Bella how much he couldn’t live without her, and then tell her that she should leave him. It makes no sense. I mean, c’mon Edward! Make up your mind!

After suffering through Twilight, I decided for some reason to read the second book. Bigger mistake than the first.

Basically, 95% of the book involves Bella being an Emo zombie. That, and her flirting with Jacob and then telling him that she just wants to be friends. That’s it. How I survived book 2, I couldn’t tell ya.

Now, after that, I still hadn’t learned my lesson. So I moved on to book 3.

Truthfully, I can’t tell you much about that, because I only read half before calling it quits and ripping about 20 pages out of the book.

Overall, Twilight was not a good book AT ALL, and is currently blinding 98% of the world’s population with vampire-related sparkles.

Toolbox Mr s Handyman for good

I was truly skeptical until I received the Hoover Tempo Widepath by mail (received an email to advise purchase would come by mail unable to deliver at address – still do not understand this – UPS & FEDEX come to property….anyway I received it in less that a week!). The first thing I did was put the handle on and remove a few pieces of tape and placed the exterior parts in their appropriate spaces – then turned it on….whoa! I was ‘in love’ with an inanimate object! The best vacum cleaner I have ever purchased including 2 other more expensive Hoovers plus a Richoe that cost over $350. I have two dogs that both shed, bare wood floors, marble, high and low carpet – it sucked like a champ! Thank you Amazon – you represented yourself well with this product and your online services for purchasing – I bought a package of bags and belts along with the vacum and all came together. Also, I thought after receiving the belts that I had purchased the wrong ones – called the vendor – left a message and received a call back with instructions for return/exchange of the belts within in 24 hours. Turned out the belts sent to me were correct and all is well…..thanks again and again!

Information about Kids Promises Shout Praises

I’ve had my Kindle for 2 weeks now, and I am in love! It has been difficult for me to hold books, especially larger ones, for long enough to do some serious reading because of carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands and a right shoulder injury. The Kindle has solved that problem! I can hold it in one hand easily, rest it on my leg or a pillow on my lap, or use both hands comfortably. It is amazingly easy to learn how to use, too! (I still haven’t figured out my cell phone…) I made my own carrying case for it and it goes with me everywhere I go. It charges more quickly than I expected, and books download in a flash. Amazon even has a feature to immediately cancel a purchase if you made it by mistake – which I did – and the charge was instantly refunded. I am thrilled to be reading classic literature that I never got around to, and they’re all free. The Kindle will pay for itself very soon!

Darts Dart Tag Nerf details

Help is an amazing story told by 3 different individuals, all told differently but all with the same underlying meaning…although a work of fiction, the help depicts a time in this country where people were treated the way these characters were treated…its sad to think that people can treat people the way they do in the help, but i imagine things were far worse during these times…a true eye opening book about american history and the different classes of people and different ways of living…highly recommend!

141 3L03 White Rodgers about

The Ipod touch is everything it is advertised to be. The things missing are a camera, longer battery life (it lasts about a day if you use it a lot), and the ability to have multiple apps open at once (coming in OS4)

The Heart Vampire Strigoi must go on

I bought this scale to replace a scale we had for several years. The old scale had a precision of .5 pounds, so we were excited to get a more refined number.

I’ve used this scale for about three weeks now and it is not consistent at all for me. The old scale reads the same value within .5 pounds if I step on it multiple times and reset it (weigh something different) in-between. This EatSmart scale can vary up to about a pound and a half. Also, when you first step on the scale it seems to vary quite a bit if you fidget at all. Then if you step on it again without weighing anything else it always gives you exactly the same number. It seems like it doesn’t really know what you weigh within about a 2 pound window, so the first time you weigh yourself, it just stops on a number, and then every time after that, it just repeats the same number until you reset it (weigh something else). (If you let it turn off, it still remembers the old number.)

Furthermore, it seems to always give me a number .5-1.5 pounds above my old scale. I know that means my old scale could be inaccurate. What is strange to me is that for my husband (who weighs 30-40 pounds more than me), it does give the same number as the old scale (within .5 pounds). He has less problems also with the wide range of numbers. It is possible that this scale is more accurate with heavier people than with lighter people.

In summary, if you’re a small woman trying to keep track of losing a few pounds, this probably won’t work for you. It will just drive you nuts wondering if you really did gain a pound or not.

One of the most haunting books that I have read in years.

The main character, Rosie, is complicated, sensitive and heroic. She’s also an elephant. The time is a “depression era” slice of life. Critics have represented this book as ‘riviting’ and ’sheer fun’. It is certainly ‘riviting’. Sometimes, it isn’t fun. It’s a book about a beutiful sensitive animal who endures the most depression era horrific abuse. While Rosie is an elephant, she also personifies a dwarf, a dog called Queenie, a chimp called Bobo, and Marlena. It’s complicated.

I found it hard to read at times because I LOVE Rosie. I love Jacob Jankowski. The second generation, animal Vet that we all hope treats our animal friends.

The reviews written so far haven’t talked about the difficult moments in the book. There are moments that made me think of animal rights. In the depression, they had no rights. Read this book and stand up for animal rights. Stand up for Rosie!

Wow! Toner Konica Cyan Minolta

I was expecting this carpet cleaner to be good and it is. Paid 140$ including shipping from amazon 40$ savings. The assembly was quick,do read the directions I had to reverse two screws because I didn’t.I heated water because my carpets had not been cleaned in a while and I had one large stain and some smaller stains including ink.I used the small bottle of included cleaner and a cup of Simple Green and Oxy Clean. I used the hand tool on the ink stains from a printer spill. The hand tool picked up some of the ink and the cleaner finished off the rest, my wife was shocked.I rinse the carpets with hot clean water to remove the remaining soap. This machine picked up every stain it came across and it really dries the carpets. Two weeks after cleaning the carpets I dropped a glass pot full of spagetti sauce,it broke in the kitchen and splashed into the family room leaving a six foot river of sauce.I had to clean the kitchen first while the sauce sat on the carpet. The cleaner picked up the sauce(should have taken a before and after photo) and dry in a few hours. After two uses this cleaner has paid for itself.
