Canon 52U E 52mm problem!
I can’t help but give the lens cap 5 stars, what can I say, it fits, it covers the lens and keeps the dust out. The bad part about purchasing from this place was paying as much in postage as for the cap itself but it was hard to find elsewhere. I also could not have it delivered here on Fort Wainwright Alaska because I’m only allowed a PO Box so I had to have it shipped to my home in New York and then had them send it on to me-go figger.

Is Powershot Canon 10MP E1 suck?
I thought this camera was really great. I bought a Canon of the same level only about 2 years ago, and this one as a gift, and I can definitely see a change in the quality of pictures. MUCH better than my 2 year old camera, and I am still pleased with those pictures. I like how small it is. Good design.

This is the best One-For-All-lens for your Canon body–as long as it is a 1.3xFOV body like that is 1DMkII, 1DMkIIN or 1DMkIII. For my liking it’s too long on the wide end for a 1.6xFOV body. Versatility and quality are as outstanding as color and contrast. You can get pictures that you otherwise would not get without this one lens. The IS makes it perfect for almost all situations. A perfect travel lens and a great walk-around lens even though it is really heavy. It’s my preferred lens if I don’t know precisely what to expect. See http://www.meview.de

Water for Elephants is an interesting text because it is not especially well written, the story is pure soap opera, and yet it is an enjoyable read that at times evokes a long gone era. I think it suffers from overly effusive praise and so many readers are bitterly disappointed once they get through it.
First, let’s look at the strengths of the novel. I enjoyed the evocations of circus and train life. Gruen clearly spent some time working on these descriptions of circus life and there are little Depression era details that were nice historical jewels for the reader to mine. Also effective was her characterization of old Jacob. His voice was witty and biting and he provided the most pleasure of any character in the text. Chapter nineteen of the novel is the saddest depiction of rest home life I have read in literature. A man is forgotten by his family, and the scene is heartbreaking.
Now to examine the reasons why this book is unsatisfying. First off the characters from the 1930s parts of the novel are some of the weakest characterizations I have seen in a book in a long time. They are stock characters at best, and the villains are the mustache twirling men from melodrama. It is hard to care about any of the characters because they are so transparently fake. Even more distracting then the weak characterization is the incredibly insipid (and modern sounding) dialogue Gruen puts in their mouths. She has such nice historical details in the setting of the text, why couldn’t she also use it in the dialogue?
Many readers have found the ending unsatisfying, and although it is ridiculous, it fits the novel so I won’t argue with it. The cloying depiction of animals is also a little beyond the pale, but again, I simply had to come to terms with the novel for what it is. It is popular fiction. It is a melodrama you will get caught up in. And for those purposes it is adequate. Don’t go into it expecting more than what it is capable of giving and you will be satisfied.
For NB Canon TheZipKit to you
It was an instant attraction…my Kindle and me…we need each other…we fulfill each other…hee hee hee…
Seriously, it is one of the best gadgets I have ever purchased. It is easy to use, I love buying books to put on it, Whispernet is wondrous, it is more, much more than a book. I also feel as though I am not hurting the environment when I put books on my Kindle. I cannot imagine reading without a Kindle. I own tons of books and yet when I want to read, I instantly turn to my Kindle. I love having a ton of books with me when I travel and my Kindle allows me to do this without paying for extra weight. I would not want to be without a Kindle ever. I love the $9.99 book price for most books because that amount seems reasonable and fair.

I put the card in my Canon camera and it works. So far so good. 8GB seems like a sweet spot for our needs. It will hold over 1500 pictures and it looks like the write times are fast.

Canon PowerShot SD950IS 12 the best
This review is a combination of three:
Canon PowerShot SD950IS 12.1MP (Titanium)
Canon PowerShot SD770IS 10MP (Silver)
Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP
I first purchased the Canon SD950, and after loonnnggg shipping from Jr.com, I received it and tried it out. The camera is much bigger than the SD500 that I upgraded from–even though it’s got so many bells and whistles. One thing about Canon that’s got my eyebrow raised: Why the big font as if we can’t read?
The Image Stabilization is a wonderful thing, right along with the face detection. It even focused on an enlarged print of a little girl! The 3.7 zoom is nothing to frown at either. ISO is easier to set now so one can play around with the settings…
The camera is made for “big hands” and it took me about two weeks of off and on shooting to get used to it. The 12MP quality is okay, and I didn’t have to get used to too much new button placement. One thing I didn’t like is the play button. I felt I had to really push my finger on the play button in order to view my photos. It annoyed me enough to see what else was out there.
The Canons SD770 and SD790 were next on my list. Even though they were “only” 10MP, they had newer technology from Canon: Motion Detection and Infinity and cute buttons in all new small packages.
SD770IS(Silver)
First the SD770. This was a nice small camera! Not cheap feeling at all, Canon packed everything but the kitchen sink in there. I like the “Infinity” setting that the SD950 didn’t have. Also, I have the silver version and it’s nice, small, sleek, and takes great pictures. I didn’t like the way the battery cover was not spring loaded. Also, either it was this particular camera or the 770 in general, but it seemed like I had to “dig” for the battery and SDHC card once put in. Yes, it’s compact, hefty, and full of bells and whistles, but it was…kinda boring. Maybe because the silver color didn’t have the pizazz of the black version that I’d read reviews on. Mo
