The Europe Live From data
EUREKA!!! This is, without a doubt, one of the best pieces of hard rock/heavy metal albums EVER! I mean you have EUROPE reunited! How cool is that!?! This DVD set is loaded with extras and every second of it is just brilliant! 4 hours total of some of my heroes is a good way to spend a friday night and I don’t care what you think.
The concert itself is excellent.
NOTE: This is my review that reflect my opinion on the matter and if you don’t like it, that is you problem.
I have to point out that I am not a die-hard fan of some of their latest work, as I am of their past work. Don’t get me wrong, in today’s scene of cultural insigificance in music, they are one of the rare that are going against the grain and even though their sound has changed, their music still has that fine line and they still don’t have a bad song in their career. Even Ninja is good! (Yes, Joey, even Ninja is good!). Well, to get back to the DVD.
The look of the cover and the concert itself is brilliant. The lightshow on the concert is also great. Joey has his alpine white mike-stand whick is probably the coolest concert prop that anyone ever had. alpine white just works with Europe. Maybe because their career is flawless. Anyway Joey is jumping all around, headbanging, bursting with energy, good contact with the crowd and his vocal is on the level. Ian is just great and hillarious. Mic has this cool strong and silent type look with his keyboards and blue lights, and that look on the stage is up there with Kevin Moore and Jordan Rudess. Norum is a God, always will be. I would just like that he did something to about his hair, because i can’t see his face. I would put a spotlight, a fan and a camera right between his monitors, so that he really shines. Leven played with Malmsteen. If you did that you’re an istant legend and there is no need to comment your talent and performance.
Setlist:
It starts with Got to have faith. Not that good of a song if you ask me, even though it is biographical with

Simply Red Live Home watch out
Although I hadn’t listened to Simply Red in quite a long time, it was a great experience listening and and even better experience watching them in concert on this dvd! Even though this was an outdoor concert, the acoustics seemed to be perfect and actually sounded more like a studio recording. I’m not sure what the other reviewer was watching when he listed this video as 1star but he sure couldn’t have been watching this video! This video was superb thru each and every song that Mick and his band performed!! The setting for this concert in Taormina, Sicily was also excellent and being in the Greek amphitheater even made it that much more special. I have been to Taormina before and it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Home Live Go U2 no mad
This DVD is interesting because it is a look at U2 from a very different angle than fans have had before. Sure, it’s another concert DVD, but the fact that it is filmed in front of such a large hometown crowd completely changes the dynamic and feel of the entire experience. How would they change the show to fit with their original and most loyal fan base?
Well, from the beginning it feels as if the band knows every single person in the audience. Yep, all 200,000 or however many of them there were. There’s a palpable and tangible familiarity that is captured on this film, and Bono especially takes full advantage of it. You would be hard-pressed to find a more involved and devoted crowd, as they had been waiting all day for U2 to come one after many other acts.
As other reviewers have noted, Bono’s father Paul Hewson passed away just days before this concert was filmed. So one gets the sense that this show was poised for emotional greatness, with so many different events converging: playing at home, a massive crowd, the death of Bono’s father, and a tour that had become a steamrolling success, building in momentum with each stop.
Without going through each track, I will say that this DVD can’t really be compared to the Boston DVD. Boston was filmed in an arena, with a much smaller crowd, and a different setlist. This DVD was filmed in Ireland, outdoors, in front of almost 200,000 people. Neither is superior to the other, simply because they are so different.
This particular concert has an exquisite setlist, with the highlight for me being All I Want Is You (dedicated to Bono’s wife Ali) transitioning into Where The Streets Have No Name. This is simply an explosion of power and emotion, and the energy is passed from Bono, through the entire crowd, and back into him and the band. An unforgettable moment, and one that you will certainly replay numerous times on this DVD. Angel of Harlem is also great to hear live, as is One, which they rarely play anymore. For someone

This is a terrible DVD! Sound sucks, footage is rough and content is depressing. Wish I could send it back.

From Live Kate Rusby suck
Not for committed fans only. Hadn’t heard a stitch from the artist but I must have heard samples here or something because I asked for, and received for Christmas, this DVD and one of Kate Rusby’s CDs. The live performance is filmed as you would hope, without MTV-style diversions for the short attention span crowd, without contrived scripted interludes – just pure and pleasing performance. Song introductions are charming, personable and witty.
The CD I received of one of her newer albums had some enjoyable moments but as a whole was plagued with a degree of sameness across the songs. This DVD, however, offers a good variety, solid pacing that never lags, a singer with a beautiful voice, and a band you won’t forget. I have a number of DVDs from my favorite musical artists, but as music DVDs go, this live performance by Kate Rusby is the disk that most frequently returns to my DVD player.

Do you really love The in Live Who ?
Blew me away…the boys did a great job despite losing a member of the band. I miss Roger’s range, but he still has it.

Rodgers Live Paul Queen suck
Just like the title says, why anyone would pay more for a HDMI cable, I don’t know. Works great, shipping was reasonable, and it wasn’t $30-50, like in Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc.
