Don’t think about 320 Prestige Iomega GB
I have had several bad experiences with USB data storage in the past 6 months. So I jumped back into the market with this due to a Gold Box Deal. And have loved it. I have not yet had to use both USB ports, and I have used this drive on about 5 different computers. It comes with five different software packages, which I have yet to try.
The drive feels quite sturdy and has survived being moved around quite a bit since I purchased it. It is quite fast and is useful as a backup device, though I mainly use it to move data between my desktop and business laptop. It is larger than I had hoped, but it fits well into my back pack that I store my computer in.
All in all, very happy. Wish it was a little smaller in size, but for what I paid. I am happy. I feel you will too.

Hello CL Classic Lipstick Prestige
After my 12-13 year old Eureka finally started showing it’s age while still doing a decent job, I bought the Hoover Tempo Widepath Upright Vacuum, Bagged, U5140-900 from a local Do It Best Hardware store– I figured the few extra dollars it cost at the store was worth the convenience, in case I needed to return it. As a test, I first vacuumed my 3-room apartment using my “suficient” old Eureka, and then re-vacuumed with the new Hoover. Although my old vacuum seemed to perform better than it had in months (as though it somehow “knew” it was being compared to it’s new replacement), when I re-vacuumed with the Hoover, it sounded like I was vacuuming the parking lot. I couldn’t believe all the sand and dirt I heard it picking up!
I had been hesitant to buy this particular vacuum, because of reviewers’ complaints of it being too loud and made of cheap plastic, and needing frequent bag/belt replacements. Although it’s not a quiet machine, it’s not as loud as my regular-sounding Eureka was. In fact, my cat (who always runs and hides when I vacuum) actually stayed in her cat bed and watched as I ran the Hoover for the first time. Who says vacuuming is supposed to be a quiet chore, anyway??? Yes, the attachments are plastic, but no flimsier than the Eureka’s, which I found to be more than adequate. The Hoover’s plastic body helps keep it light-weight, yet it’s sturdy enough for the job. I’ve only had the Hoover for 13 days, and I’ve used it 3 times– haven’t broken a belt nor filled a bag, but when the time comes, I will probably order replacements from Amazon, as I believe the prices were lower when compared to WalMart. The vacuum came (from the store) with 3 bags, which may need to be replaced often only by virtue of the fact that this machine picks up so much dirt! The light-weight construction and strong suction make this model very easy to use and virtually self-propelled.

Seems to be a few reviews commenting about problems with the cable not being secure. Not sure if Iomega have upgraded or its because people are reviewing the 320GB model under the 500GB description but this is not an issue with the 500GB drive I received. I even picked it up and turned the drive round 360 degrees whilst doing a test backup. Sure the cable got in a tangle but the drive carried on copying with no sign of the cable being loose what-so-ever.
I must admit it was slightly bigger than I expected, the photo against a paper clip just got me thinking it was going to be really tiny and I didnt worry about reading the dimensions.
Dont get me wrong though this thing is very small for something that packs in 500GB. Prob about 50% bigger than an I-phone’s dimensions. So it looks VERY stylish, packs 500GB into a small package and doesnt need any external power, works for me.
