Today about CD Head Unit Bluetooth

I purchased one of these last year the first unit came and didn’t work at all the display had bars and nothing functioned on the unit. After trying to get customer service to replace the unit and had no response I sent in a bad review. At this time a representative from the service department contacted me and ask me to send the unit in and remove the review. Well I sent the unit back and as promised removed the bad review costing me $13.00 in shipping cost and they sent me a new unit. This one worked but only for five months. One day I got in my car and the unit was dead being a service technician for over twenty years I decided to investigate what went in the unit. Since it only carries a 90 day warranty I decided to open it up and found a load resistor burnt open on the input from the 12volt source. After replacing the new resistor the resistor started to smoke so to make a long story short I traced a dead short to the hundred or so pin processor and when I lifted the pin the processor it had a dead short to ground. I since trashed the unit and purchased my second Phase Liner with an SD and USB slot which are both still working very well. I will never again purchase anything manufactured by VR3. That’s ashame because I liked all the features this unit offered other than the fact that everyone was having a hard time hearing me on the other end of the phone using the microphone supplied with the unit.
