This is a great addition to the LX3 giving a ultra-wide angle angle of view equivalent to 18mm on a full frame SLR. Be advised that you’ll need the adapter tube as well and that the conversion lens is a bit large and heavy given how small the LX3 itself is. That said, it is probably the cheapest and lightest weight way to get ultra-wide performance. My Canon XTi and 10-22 cost and weigh a whole lot more! Optically the performance is excellent and keeps up with the LX3’s already high quality output. If you are an ultra-wide junkie this lens will give you another excuse to leave your SLR behind. If you’ve never tried out ultra-wide this may be the least expensive way to do it, and you’ll still get top notch results. I purchased thinking I’d try it and perhaps return it, but after a few weeks of use I’m definitely keeping it and it has become part of my standard walk-around kit.

I read this book at a very busy time of my life, when I had only about haft of a month to finish my MS degree of Chemistry (something related to “water”:) No regret at all about spending 1 day to finish reading! Love it, love the characters, love the elephant
And, the book became an excellent bedtime story for my husband, who doesn’t like (and doesn’t have time) to read novels at all

I could not have loved it more. Water for Elephants is one of those wonderful novels that has an interesting setting, but it doesn’t let the setting take over the story. It is a novel about the people in that place, and the people of Benzini’s circus took over my mind and stay with me still.

Jacob begins Water for Elephants alone. Orphaned by his immigrant parents, he is weeks away from his Cornell graduation, but he simply cannot return to the life he has known. He jumps aboard a moving train-the train carrying the Benzini circus to its next production. No one on the circus cares that Jacob didn’t finish his final exams. The diploma, he is told, “is just a piece of paper, and nobody here gives a damn about that. You’re on a show now. The rules are different.”

In fact, the circus seems to have no rules at all. Jacob somehow finds other kind souls among the misfits, and these people work together to protect themselves and the animals. The villians-Uncle Al and August-are well described and three-dimensional. You understand why they behave the way they do. These villians are not cookie-cutter images, and their real-world sensibilities make them even more frightening.

Conversations with God : An Uncommon Dialogue by Neale Donald Walsch is a thought provoking book about one man’s relation with God. Walsch spends years writing down questions about religion and God on a legal pad. Out of the blue God starts answering them. It becomes quite complex at times. It’s just nice to see people are interested in what God has to say in this day and age.
If you’re so inclined, and want to read the messages God gave to a man who prayed 1,000,000 prayers than you definitely want to read this Great new book I found about faith, Jesus, God’s message and what we will do in the after-life entitled “The Enlightenment, What God Told Me After One Million Prayers: A Message for Everyone,” by John H. Eagan. It’s really fantastic and the message from God is just amazing. I think the readers of Walsch’s book will really enjoy The Enlightenment. I can’t recommend it enough!

I waffled for months on whether I wanted to purchase an ipod touch and finally gave in. I’m glad I purchased this item and now can’t live without it! I’m already considering an iphone in the future. Awesome apps, music, and surprised at how easily I can surf the web and read ebooks. The portability of this device is outstanding.

The only downfall is the battery life, seems like I need to charge it several times a day. This would be the main consideration that might prevent me from getting an iphone, I’d be concerned I would use up battery time even faster if using also using as a phone. I’ve already purchased a power adapter and charge bloc to help pick up the slack.

The reason I decided to purchase this unit was an article I read in a magazine. I have been interested in finding just the right pedometer, but I never could find one that would give me just the readings I wanted. I walk quite a bit, and I was tired of driving around to find out what the mileage was I was walking! I decided to use amazon.com to purchase it. I read all the specs and decided this was the unit I wanted. They did not let me down! The Omron Digital Pocket Pedometer has many convenient aspects. Just to mention the aspects I enjoy using are: fits in the palm of your hand comfortably, the digital readings are clear, it show the total steps you walk, the total miles you walk and the total calories you burn when you are walking. There is a large clip on the back of the unit so you can clip it on your clothing. The complete unit is plastic, but very smooth with no sharp edges. For me, this is the only unit. The unit resets itself at midnight, so you are ready to go the next day with a clear slate. I Just Love my Omron Digital Pocket Pedometer. It is THE greatest unit, and I am so happy I purchased it through Amazon.com.
